That’s right: ultra velocity. This 22 LR cartridge’s muzzle velocity out of a rifle is 1,435 fps, which is why its muzzle energy is around 80% higher than a standard-velocity 22 LR load’s. Hard hitting, indeed! Such a fast-flying bullet also coasts across a flat trajectory which makes aiming over longer distances just a little bit easier. It ain’t magic, but it helps.
CCI arms this round with the varmint hunter’s preferred missile: the copper-plated hollow point. The 40 grain CPHP delivers the ideal blend of deep penetration and wide expansion, and its thin plated exterior reduces bore fouling a touch (you’ll still get lead residue, though). Made in Idaho with premium brass and primers, and packaged in nice plastic boxes!
