Details
This 22 LR ammo is made in Europe by SK, a division of Norway and Finland’s Nammo Schönebeck GmbH. It’s a versatile choice for any type of shooting, and satisfyingly packaged in a big cylinder. Why is this ammo called “Magazine?” Because that’s exactly what you’ll want to stuff it into all day!
This round’s 40 grain LRN is nothing new, but that’s only because the simple bullet performs so well. Its nose profile is rounded for smooth feeding and consistent accuracy, and its lack of copper plating or a painstakingly engineered hollow point nose cavity both make its production more cost-effective. SK is a rimfire specialist, so even their casual plinking and target shooting rounds have fine brass cases and uniformly loaded propellant charges. When you only make one kind of cartridge, you had better make it right after all!
This cartridge has a muzzle velocity of 1,073 fps (26” test barrel). Its muzzle energy is 102 ft lbs. According to SK it has a 944 fps velocity at 100 yards, placing its G1 ballistic coefficient around .055.

Q: Is this the low-noise stuff that will not cycle a Ruger 10-22? It seems like it is right on the border between "standard" and subsonic velocities.

A: Thanks for reaching out! This ammo isn't marketed as low recoil or subsonic, but at its relatively low muzzle velocity it may indeed fail to cycle your 10-22. It may work just fine – I wish I could say for certain, but I don't want to promise you performance that this ammo may not deliver.
