Do you carry a snubnosed 22 WMR revolver for self-defense? It’s a good choice -- revolver proponents rightly extol their weapon of choice’s reliability, and the pistol’s agreeable price tag is a good way of ensuring that anyone can afford to exercise their right to self-defense. Complement your little EDC’s performance with this Hornady round that was developed specifically for it!
This 22 WMR cartridge features a 45 grain FTX projectile. With its 1,000 fps muzzle velocity the tough bullet is consistently able penetrate to a depth of 10 to 11 inches in ballistic gelatin. The FTX’s Flex Tip guards its hollow point from becoming impacted with fabric, and further serves to initiate expansion as it wedges into the underlying core.
This cartridge offers the reliability that a self-defense load ought to. Its nickel plated casing is corrosion resistant, and slips in and out of a chamber with great ease. Its clean burning propellant is also treated to emit only very little muzzle flash, so a confrontation in the dark won’t leave you unable to see after you’ve fired your first shot.
