Details
Hornady produces TAP Training series 223 Rem ammunition for law enforcement exercises. But you don’t need a badge and a gun if you want to use this AR-friendly ammo for your own training, target shooting and plinking purposes. You just need the gun!
This is specifically the companion training cartridge for Hornady’s 223 Rem 55 grain TAP Urban round, although its 3,240 fps muzzle velocity (24” test barrel) makes its recoil, accuracy and point of aim extremely familiar to anyone who knows their AR-15. The 0.248 G1 BC FMJ bullet will remain supersonic until about 718 yards, and will reach 100 yards in one-tenth of a second. It’s also nonmagnetic, so you can take it to any range that will have you.
Hornady enjoys a reputation as one of the United States’ best ammo manufacturers. It is well deserved, as the Nebraskan company produces the premium reloadable brass cases and loads the consistent primers and propellant charges which quality 223 range ammo needs.
