Details
Life’s a funny thing. You never know when you’re going to wind up needing 500 rounds of military-grade 223 Rem ammo. But if that day ever comes, you’ll sure be glad you had the foresight to buy it ahead of time.
This ammo is made at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant – but it isn’t the same exact stuff Lake City would manufacture for the U.S. Armed Forces. It was specifically made for the commercial market; not Gomer Pyle. It also features Hornady’s high-quality .22 cal bullets. Each weighs 55 grains (or darn close to it) and has the cannelure you want while you’re firing a magazine-fed rifle or carbine. The nonmagnetic full metal jacket will pop out of a 24” barrel at a rate of 3,240 fps (or darn close to it), which gives it fundamentally identical ballistic performance to an M193 load.
See this ammo’s cases? They’re brand new. They also aren’t polished, so they make no secret of the fact that they were correctly annealed at Lake City’s factory. Each reloadable case has a nice noncorrosive Boxer primer that won’t give you a rusty headache later on down the line. We’re of the firm belief that you should order two cases of this ammo: one for morning, and another for the afternoon.
