Details
A 300 AAC Blackout cartridge doesn’t necessarily need a heavyweight bullet and subsonic muzzle velocity in order to deliver impressive accuracy. Case in point: this 300 BLK ammo by Black Hills Ammunition!
This cartridge’s 125 grain bullet will clear a 16” barrel at a velocity of 2,100 fps. That’s almost double the speed of sound, so you can expect a cracking report followed by a satisfyingly flat trajectory. The open tip match bullet exhibits remarkable rotational stability courtesy of its superlative jacket concentricity and form-fitted lead core. Its narrow nose profile, aerodynamic jacket geometry and uniform dimensions are all in service of this ammo’s flat and consistent trajectory. It’s important to note that the OTM is not optimal for self-defense or hunting medium game. It does technically have a hollow point, but it is not designed to unleash terminal expansion after impact with a soft medium.
Black Hills supplies ammunition to 30 different firearm manufacturers’ testing divisions, as well as the U.S. Armed Forces. The South Dakotan company selects first-rate reloadable brass cases for all of their fine products, and their thorough quality assurance protocol ensures that their primers and propellant charges deliver outstandingly predictable results.
