Details
We love every long-range hunting rifle cartridge under the sun. That said, if you can’t take down a PRIZED, ALL-AMERICAN WHITETAIL with the beloved 308 Winchester, then you might just be … a communist.
If you’ve taken the righteous 308 path, then we’ve got righteous hunting ammo by Sellier & Bellot for you. This round’s 150 grain projectile is unusual, but useful to any hunter capable of aiming his rifle. The soft point cutting edge has a cylindrical base. Its midsection has a shoulder, which immediately transitions to a more conventional SP bullet profile. The SPCE is therefore equipped to injure the quarry in two different ways. The angular shoulder stamps out a wide entry wound, after which the soft point nose kicks into action to deliver quick expansion.
This Czech-made brass-cased reloadable nonmagnetic hunting cartridge’s 2,789 fps muzzle velocity was taken with a 23.5” barrel. Upon establishing a 0.290 G1 ballistic coefficient, the bullet is due to hit 200 yards with around 1,590 ft lbs of energy.
