We wish that 44 Special ammo were easier to come by. Unfortunately, it seems to be falling by the wayside as more shooters gravitate toward either 38 Special or 44 Magnum – but at least PMC is here to help!
Honestly, if you could only have one type of 44 Spl ammo for the rest of your life, then you could do a lot worse than PMC Bronze. This isn’t the most extravagantly priced 44 Spl on the market. It would do right by you if you were only fixing on roughing up some range targets. But since it’s loaded with jacketed hollow point bullets – which are engineered for terminal expansion – it is also perfectly capable of hunting and defending.
PMC gave this round’s bullet a semi-conical profile, with a broad, flat nose. It’s precisely the shape a lever-action gun has the easiest time storing and feeding into its chamber, so zero worries there. The South Korean manufacturer minted these rounds’ reloadable brass cases using premium raw materials, and primed them with the noncorrosive good stuff.
