This is not 45 ACP ammo.
Why yes! This 45 Long Colt ammunition is a great pick for target practice with an S&W Governor or Taurus Judge. It’ll do wonders for all your other 45 LC firearms as well, including any lever-action rifles you happen to have lying around.
This round’s 250 grain bullet is a polymer-jacketed round nose flat point. Its polymer coating has two key advantages: reduced friction on the barrel, and reduced risk of splash-back while you’re firing on steel gongs, steel silhouettes, and targets set up in front of a rocky backstop. The bullet’s nose profile is similarly ideally suited for shooting steel targets – cowboy action shooting enthusiasts, take note. The bullet’s core is made of conventional lead, and lacks the nose cavity it would need in order to deliver terminal expansion.
Don’t be led astray by this ammo’s plastic bag packaging. That’s just Military Ballistics Industries’ way of saving on costs. Each round is loaded with a brand new reloadable brass case, as well as a Boxer primer that can’t corrode your equipment.

Q: Is this ammo suitable for conversion revolvers, antiques and new reproductions from uberti and pietta? I cant find much info about this brands ammo anywhere.

A: Hi Trevor! I foresee no reason why this standard pressure SAAMI spec 45 Colt ammo should fail to function correctly in an antique, conversion or reproduction revolver. Naturally, I cannot guarantee any kind of performance out of a firearm that I haven't personally tested and inspected, and I would recommend reaching out to the manufacturer (when possible) to confirm a cartridge's compatibility with one of their products. Military Ballistics Industries (MBI) was founded by an American machine gun enthusiast in 2009. I've always found their ammo to be reliable.
