This 6.5 Creedmoor by Sellier & Bellot sports a 131 grain soft point projectile. The bullet features a copper alloy jacket, 10 percent of which is zinc to improve its strength and make it more economical to manufacture. The bullet’s partial jacket will help to protect your bore against the rapid accumulation of lead residue, and also facilitates penetration through rugged game animals’ tough hides. Because its soft lead core is exposed at its tip, however, this bullet will deform and tumble within targets to provide performance similar to what a hollow point would have. That makes this round a great choice for hunting in areas where hollow point ammo is not permitted.
Sellier & Bellot is based in Vlašim, Czech Republic, and as a member of the massive CBC group their products can be found in the firearms of hunters, law enforcement professionals, and soldiers throughout the world. Their components are lauded for their quality of manufacture, and this round’s high quality brass casing and non-corrosive Boxer primer dispose it perfectly for multiple reloadings. That means 500 of them could keep you content during target practice and hunting trips for a very long time to come.
