The Lake City Ammunition Plant, the supplier of ammunition to America's armed forces, makes a lot of ammo. We regularly buy surplus production from the plant to sell in bulk, however this particular shipment arrived in a less than perfect state. We noticed the blemishes during our inbound inspection process, a further investigation by our warehouse crew revealed these imperfections to be most noticeable on the exterior of the cartridge. Our team suspects the problem stems from a metal washing process used after the round is assembled in the plant.
As a cosmetic blemish, there is no impact to the performance of the round. To remove the blemish, a simple cleaner and polish with a rag does the trick.
Loaded with an M80 ball round, the 149 grain full metal jacket boat tail projectile has a superior performance at distance reducing drag and increasing accuracy. Made with military-grade brass, this round has a non-corrosive boxer primer and is reloadable. Make sure to grab a couple boxes at this price!
