Winchester produced this ammunition for law enforcement (although civilians can own it as well). It features a 147 grain jacketed hollow point projectile: massive, and subsonic, and bonded. Because they’re fused together so soundly, the JHP’s jacket and core don’t splinter apart while they’re tunneling through a barrier or the threat itself. The payoff is more consistent terminal ballistics, which are accompanied by wide and injurious terminal expansion.
