And that is awesome, because it means that a rifle can accelerate the bullet to a shockingly fast 1,640 fps – without exceeding standard pressure. That’s why the bullet’s 191 ft lbs muzzle energy (out of a rifle) is even higher than a 32 ACP’s (out of a pistol).
This round’s bullet is a copper-plated hollow point, which uses its plating to minimize lead fouling and its nose cavity to trigger quick terminal expansion. With sensible shot placement, you’ll never have to shoot the same varmint twice.
