This isn’t just 223 Rem ammunition. It’s what you need to develop the skills you’d use to defend your family. It’s what you need to unwind and have fun with your favorite boyos at the range. It’s a symbol of American-made pride, and Winchester’s commitment to serving firearm enthusiasts for over 150 years.
But it is still 223 Rem ammunition, in addition to all of those other nice things. It’s loaded with tried-and-true 55 grain full metal jacket projectiles – not able to expand, but still able to hit hard and quite likely fragment following high-velocity impact. Each FMJ has a nonmagnetic jacket and core, as well as a cannelure that keeps it planted right where it belongs until your firing pin does its thing.
This ammo was recently produced for the commercial market, and has the noncorrosive Boxer primers and new reloadable brass cases to show for it. The cases’ necks are a little darker because they were heat-treated for added toughness, but not polished for better cosmetics.
