Got a real practical solution for deer hunting, boar busting, coyote capping and home defense, right here: Fiocchi Field Dynamics. These 12 Gauge shotshells are loaded with #1 buckshot pellets, which are slightly smaller in size than your typical 00 buck (3/10” in diameter instead of 1/3”). That makes this shell’s nine-pellet shot column about 1/4 ounces lighter, so you’ll feel less recoil and encounter less muzzle rise in between shots. A good advantage to have, we believe!
This shell’s #1 buck pellets have something special going for them: nickel plating. It makes the shot shinier, but that obviously doesn’t matter. More importantly, nickel makes the shot pellets harder, which protects them against deformation that could have caused (A) looser patterning, and (B) shallower penetration. It’s a good way of compensating for the #1 buck pellet’s lighter weight (about 25% less mass than a 00 buck pellet).
This ammo is made in Missouri, and it comes packaged in a reusable plastic field box. One the field box is empty, you can use it for anything – including storing other shotshells. WOW!!!
