Details
A Match cartridge by Hornady is the sum of some pretty impressive parts, all put together under the most intense assembly and quality assurance protocol you’re apt to find at any ammo factory. Because of all this, this 6.5 Creedmoor round very nearly splits atoms!
This round delivers the hair-splitting ballistic performance of Hornady’s ELD Match projectile. The 147 grain bullet features a graceful secant ogive profile, exactingly tapered boat tail base, radically concentric AMP jacket, and perfectly centered polymer tip, all of which contribute to its nearly 0.7 ballistic coefficient out of a 24” barrel. As a Heat Shield, the ELD Match’s tip can’t be warped or otherwise thrown off center when it is broiled by aerodynamic heating!
This round’s 2,695 fps muzzle velocity gives its ELD Match the juice it needs to do impressive things downrange. Its velocity doesn’t dip beneath 2,000 fps until after 300 yards, and it stays supersonic past 1,500!
Hornady’s match grade bullets are seated on select brass shell casings, with intensely uniform wall thickness and concentricity, internal capacity, and weight. These rounds also offer similarly uniform propellant charges and primers, so you can live up to Hornady’s company motto: "Ten bullets through one hole." And they’re all conveniently packaged in a reusable polymer field box.
