Details
Do you need exactly 840 rounds of 7.62x39? That’s oddly specific, but not a problem. We’ve got Prvi Partizan’s Serbian-made AK-47 and SKS ammo in our warehouse just waiting for a good home – your home!
This is fairly simple 7.62x39 ammo, all things considered. PPU loaded it in accordance with M67 specifications, which provide improved accuracy over the previous M43 design. The 123 grain projectile achieves a muzzle velocity of 2,461 fps in conjunction with a 24” barrel, at which rate it ought to stay supersonic until 610 or so yards. (You can expect a significantly lower muzzle velocity out of an AK’s 14.5” barrel.) The full metal jacket bullet is steel-free. Repeat: There is no steel in the bullet, which makes this ammo nonmagnetic.
This ammo’s sealed noncorrosive Boxer primers make it optimal for long-term storage. Its cases are also made of brass instead of steel, which presents handloaders with a welcome opportunity to make their own 7.62 Soviet.
