This 9mm ammunition is made on the island of Cyprus just south of Turkey. Venom is the brand name adopted by Medefence, an ammo manufacturer that went into business in 2017 after the Turkish government relaxed its citizen gun laws. Looks like the Turks haven’t torn through all the 9mm in town, though, because got our hands on tons of the stuff!
This is some of the most affordable ammo you can get without swapping brass cases for steel. New production brass-cased Venom ammo is also non-corrosive Boxer primed, and its powder is loaded to CIP standards for chamber pressure. American-made firearms are just as compatible with foreign ammo like this!
If you frequent a range that prohibits magnetic ammo on their premises, then this ammo’s going to abide by their rules. These rounds’ FMJ bullets have copper-coated lead cores and cannot attract a magnet. The flyweight 115 grain bullet’s 1,214 fps muzzle velocity is very common for other brands of analogous ammo, so expect familiar ballistics and recoil.
