5 Rounds of 12ga 3" Ammo by Federal Vital-Shok - 00 Buck (Copper-Plated Lead Buckshot)

Another great 12 gauge load by Federal premium, this is a heavy Buckshot Magnum load with 15 pellets that is a good mix of penetration and stopping power, without having the extreme velocities that some other competitors have. The 1,100 feet per second and 15 pellet payload in a controlled wad will get you out a bit further, but it maintains its usefulness in home protection scenarios where risk of overpenetration can be difficult to deal with.

Certainly a useful round for those hunters that want to use their shotguns on Big game, this round will grab you an extra 10 yards minimum on your usual maximum distance with the controlled spread, additional pellets and the Magnum loadout.

The shells are constructed well also, so the functionality of the load is generally not a concern. This should be able to feed reliably without too much tuning necessary on most semi autos, but is also an excellent choice for pump gun shooters. The rolled star crimp and the high base keeps the drama to a minimum with feeding and extraction.

This is a Magnum Cartridge and is suitable only for use in 3” Magnum Shotgun chambers.
