This is a specialty load using the versatile, tight patterning, heavy BB shot specifically for varmints and small to medium predators. Generally because it is a lead shot, it’s for nuisance animals and sporting purposes rather than hunting for meat animals or waterfowl. It is a devastating round at moderate ranges (out to about 120 yards or so) with tight patterns and a lot of lead density at the point of impact.

This is a 3” Magnum load with 1 ½ ounce of lead in BB shot size.

The .180 diameter of the pellets offer a high penetration projectile and a bulk of lead that achieves tight patterns at distance (for a shotgun) without losing ballistic coefficient due to dispersion through larger patterns or environmental effects. The long story short: This shell delivers terminal ballistics to animals as large as wolves at distance out to 120 yards and even further depending on environmental factors without loss of efficiency.
