Details
This 12 Gauge shotshell from Winchester’s Rooster XR line of ammunition features Shot-Lok technology, where a special two-part resin is poured into its hull to encase and lock its shot within a translucent column. The hardened resin is shattered into powder at the moment of ignition to act as a buffer which keeps the shot from deforming, creating an even pattern for long-range accuracy.
This shell is loaded with 1 ¼ ounces of #5 shot. As the bird on its box suggests, these 212 .12” diameter pellets have the range to take down pheasant on the wing and the penetration needed to get through the thick foliage which the birds prefer taking cover behind. This shell’s fast 1,450 fps muzzle velocity and devastating terminal performance won’t leave you wanting if you use it to hunt grouse, turkey, or even duck under the right circumstances either. Winchester’s premium components and long track record of excellence will carry you through most anything.
