Details
A well-known plinking round for 22 lr shooters due to its relative reliability and super low cost to buy. The Remington .22 Cyclone is a 36 grain lead hollow point rimfire round with a lot of versatility.
Known for its wide availability and easy use in everything from Grandpa’s tube fed .22LR to the Ruger 10-22’s and Browning Buckmark’s of the world, this is a nice shooting, fairly reliable load that costs next to nothing to shoot. It’s a legitimate 99-100% reliability in most revolvers and single shot firearms. It will have a few small hiccups in some semi auto firearms that are not clean or are of super high tolerances. But it’s also not in the same market segment as ammunition more suitable for those guns. This is not an indication of a quality concern for the .22LR Cyclone, rather an indication of the levels of production for the .22LR industry as a whole.
Remington has had many variants for the .22LR over the years; Cyclone has been one of the longstanding, continuously marketed variants, because it has a low cost and a considerable consistency relative to some of the other budget rimfire ammunition on the market.
