Details
This 22 LR cartridge from ELEY’s Match line of ammunition sports a 40 grain lead flat nose projectile. Its shape makes this bullet ideal for competition, as it punches clean holes through paper targets which leave no ambiguity in the scoring process. (Not quite as clean a hole as a wadcutter would punch, but those feed terribly in semi-automatic weapons anyway.)
ELEY’s Match ammunition additionally features a cut mouth case for enhanced ballistic characteristics. It is produced on its own dedicated line complete with a suite of analytical processes to ensure each and every cartridge possesses match-winning performance.

With the BAD reviews of Eley Match I am wondering if people are aware of the ft. lbs. of energy difference from the Eley to most .22 lr . The Eley is 105 ft. lbs most other ammo is around 105 ft. lbs and up. The round may have a difficult time throwing a heavier bolt back . My daughters bolt action Anschutz 1907/1913 Precise (2014) has never had a problem. (Posted on 2/9/2016)

Flawless performance every time. This ammo is designed for match shooting. That means precision, accurate, planned shooting from a match rifle.
The reviews that rate this stuff bad are probably shooting it in a semi auto as fast as they can pull the trigger. Ammo is only part of the equation, rifle is the other part. Don't buy this ammo to plink or just rapid fire, use cheap ammo for that. (Posted on 9/12/2014)

Eley ammo is as close as I can get to Federal ultra match since they quit making the stuffif moisture is heavy in the air I use Black box in dry I use sub sonic stuff as it doesnt fly as much as black box does though if your a lead cast shooter you know how finicky all lead rounds can get.one more thought if the Eley stuff isnt helping your groups Remember its your rifle barrel you must satisfy you like all shooters must buy and use different Brands of ammo until you find the the ammo your barrel likes. Bought this stuff and regretted it the moment i got on range. Jammed at least once or twice per 10 round mag. The ammo was very oily and dirty. Left a lot of residue on my rifle and had to give it a very deep clean to get it shooting right again. Very disappointed. (Posted on 6/4/2013)

I thought I was going to get some upgraded ammo of some kind. Yes the ammunition had a light oil on them, if they did fall out of my hand, they'd be covered with dirt. I was pretty surprised with the spunk it had with it's target but that was only when I was lucky enough my .22 cal didn't jam or eject which in return would damage the bullet by totally warping it. (blow back issues maybe too?) Anyways, I have an old Charter Arms AR-7 and now there's got to be someone reading this thinking: "Well no wonder dude." :-) (Posted on 6/1/2013)
