Details
This 5000-round case of .22 Long Rifle ammunition is a great way to get a consistent lot of match-grade rounds for standing Bullseye and bench rest competitions. As part of the Gold Medal brand, these rounds receive extra attention from Federal in order to check for uniform dimensions, bullet thickness, and propellant volume. Each round is built using a brass casing which is manufactured in-house and armed with a non-corrosive primer mixture. Inside the case resides a specific measure of powder intended to push a 40-grain bare lead solid point bullet down range in a laser-like path.
40 grains also matches a plethora of practice and hunting loads from numerous ammo companies. The bullet used in this load features a near-perfect round nose which not only glides up feed ramps with ease but resists in-drag flight out to typical rimfire distances. An enlarged diameter band catches more rifling, enhances spin stability, and contributes to greater accuracy on target. This case of ammo can be split into 500-round bricks and 50-round boxes for easy dissemination and organization in your safe.
