Details

The .22 Short is a fun round to play around with in the field for plinking. This particular load is almost at supersonic speed (it’s muzzle velocity is 1105 feet per second, about 15 feet per second beneath the threshold), but still offers a muted experience for .22 shooters. The 29 grain projectile and the easy to shoot short cartridge makes shooting all day super fun.

This can be shot in .22LR rifles that are marked for it, and this ammo is typically used for ranch and farm needs. This particular round has been used in the farm animal harvesting and butchering process, The .22 short is a good round for humanely taking animals like pigs and cows, without the penetration concerns, noise pollution or other worries that come with heavier rounds.

The hollow point offers a bit off expansion and the copper plating give better reduction in fouling. This is a rimfire round and is not reloadable. The round will generally not deviate more than 15 fps round on round, and therefore will remain subsonic under normal conditions. The round, then is a good fit for suppressors, small areas, or when you want the lowest power cartridge you can get, but you don’t want to suffer while using it.

Suitable for any firearm that is marked to accept the .22 Short.
