A super fun cartridge that still has a limited crowd behind it. Hopefully not for long. The .22 TCM (Tuason Craig Micromagnum) is a round jointly developed by Fred Craig and Rock Island Armory to go away from the slow moving and heavy projectile, heavy recoil .45 ACP in 1911’s and into a fast moving, low recoiling conversion option for the guns. They succeeded by creating something of a marvel in the .22 TCM.

The fact that you can get a conversion kit in a round that isn’t just .22LR anymore is already interesting because it allows you to shoot a wide range of useful cartridges out of your firearm and gives some fun to range days without having to spend the full amount for a new firearm.

The .22TCM from Arsmscor achieves 1875 velocity and up to 355 Ft. lbs. of energy at the muzzle as well as having inherently amazing accuracy. The big jump in velocity and energy over the .22LR (the most popular conversion available) means this is a legitimate longer range firearm (they also make a bolt action rifle) and there are some cool perks.
