Details
Winchester's Ranger line of ammunition is intended to give law enforcement officers a distinct advantage in dire situations while minimizing the risk to innocent bystanders. As can be expected, these rounds are made using premium components under the tightest of tolerances and are compatible with the most popular .223 Rem and 5.56mm rifles on the market including the Tavor X95, Steyr AUG, and any build of AR-15. Each cartridge is constructed using a non-corrosive Boxer primer, a reloadable brass casing, and a precise measure of clean-burning powder. A 55-grain PSP (pointed soft point) rests at the top of each round where the casing's crimp meets its toothed cannelure for stable durability that contributes to consistent accuracy.
The PSP projectile's light weight will travel fluidly through and out of most barrel twist rates. Its dense lead body is completely jacketed with copper save for an exposed lead tip that is shaped to follow the bullet's taper. This arrangement makes for sleek drag-resistance alongside great penetration into a threat target, followed by wide expansion with excellent weight retention.
