Details

This 223 Rem cartridge from Remington’s Hog Hammer line of ammunition is perfect for...well, hammering hogs. It sports a deadly and dependable 62 grain Barnes TSX bullet, the all-copper construction of which conveys improved accuracy, increased velocity, and reduced barrel fouling. (Its copper composition suits it for use in areas where lead ammunition has been banned as well.) The TSX provides 28 percent deeper penetration than standard lead core bullets, and retains nearly 100 percent of its weight while doing so. This hollow point bullet expands to double its original diameter upon impact, made all the more devastating by its four cutting petals that can slice through even the toughest hog’s vitals and sinew. On top of that, the TSX offers a sleek profile and precision heel radius to give it a laser-flat trajectory. Along with its flash-suppressed propellant for comfortable night hunting, this is a round poised to deliver tremendously for the serious hog hunter under all circumstances.
