Details
A purpose built personal defense cartridge that is perfect for large homes in rural areas, where the full ballistics of potent .223 Remington ammunition can be realized with somewhat lower risk of over penetration concerns compared to FMJ's. The round is made with a powder that results in better low light performance for the shooter, as it reduces muzzle flash. It also tailors the velocity and muzzle energy to a better curve on the terminal ballistics spectrum as far as urban and rural CQB needs are concerned. This allows the normally quite fast and high penetration round to be tamed to fit better inside the needs of most personal defense shooters. The larger grain weight (75 grains) allows you to shoot it out of lower twist rates very well and the harder hitting projectile will cause a larger amount of energy to be left at impact.
A 75 grain copper jacketed hollow point gives excellent terminal ballistics and a huge increase in bullet weight for other rounds in the caliber. This projectile reaches a nicely tuned 2790 feet per second velocity and 1296 ft. lbs. of energy at the muzzle. This is a great load for duty with law enforcement, but equally good for those committed to the AR or just the .223 for personal protection.
