The bullet features a boat tail, which stabilizes its trajectory to increase its accuracy substantially. That tapered base has also made this bullet easier to assemble, so it is far less likely to have sustained a little scratch in the factory that would have minutely -- but perceptibly -- affected its performance. With its hollow point, this is a bullet just as suited for taking varmints as it is for target shooting, as it will mushroom within a soft target to take it down fast.
