Federal Premium’s Sierra MatchKing® .223 is considered by many to be some of the most accurate factory-made rounds in the world. Their boat tail design minimizes drag, making the round a favorite of competition target shooters. The bullet’s jacket is manufactured to a consistent thinness, as Sierra MatchKing bullets are only allowed a very narrow margin of variation round to round and make for an incredibly consistent projectile.
These .223 rounds come equipped with an 80-grain hollow point boat tail projectile, loaded into boxer-primed, noncorrosive, reloadable brass cases. This ammunition does, however, have a longer cartridge length than a standard .223, meaning it should only be fired in throated barrels. Each box contains 20 rounds of .223 Federal Premium rounds.
Federal Ammunition, based in Anoka, Minnesota, is a world leader in ammunition production. Using cutting-edge technology, they remain at the forefront of ammunition technology and are trusted by professionals and civilians worldwide.
