This 30-06 Spring cartridge’s relatively light 147 grain projectile pays off with a higher muzzle velocity than what is usual for the caliber, clocking in at a speedy 3,020 fps. That along with its bullet’s full metal jacket, which does not cause it to expand upon impact, makes it an ideal round for target practice where accuracy and comfort are preferable over post-impact performance and heavy recoil. High volume shooters will further appreciate that this jacketed bullet minimizes barrel fouling as the result of lead accumulation, as well as that its non-corrosive Boxer primed brass casing is reloadable.
