Owners of vintage M1 Garand rifles will appreciate this .30-06 Springfield ammunition from Sellier & Bellot, which uses a lower pressure, reduced recoil load that approximates the performance of the M2 Ball ammo used by the US military during World War II.
Each cartridge in this bulk priced case of 400 fires a 150-grain full metal jacket bullet at a muzzle velocity of 2,887 feet per second. While this ammo is not quite as flat shooting as modern commercial loads, it is less punishing on the internal parts of older rifles and the shoulders of their users. Expect good long range accuracy in well-maintained firearms!
Sellier & Bellot is a Czech manufacturer founded in 1825 to supply munitions to what was then the Austrian Empire. Since 2009, S&B has operated as part of the CBC family, which also includes the MEN and Magtech brands.
