Details
These Golden Bear 30-06 rounds are made in Russia at the Barnaul Munitions Factory in Barnaul Russia. They come loaded with copper jacketed lead core 145 grain Full Metal Jacket bullets. The cases are brass plated steel, hence the name “Golden Bear”, and they are thick walled, Berdan primed, non-corrosive, and non-reloadable. For a .30 caliber bullet, these are on the lighter side, but they still go extremely fast and hit very hard. These loads hit with a muzzle energy of 2614-foot pounds, and their muzzle velocity is incredibly fast at 2850-feet per second. They are suitable for hunting medium to large game animals and a good addition to any stock of hunting ammo. With 20 rounds per box and 25 boxes per case, these are easy to take with you on a hunting trip. Stock up on hunting ammo now, before we sell out of these 500 round cases.
The 30-06 Springfield round has been on the scene since 1906, hence the “06” in the name. The name actually means .30 Caliber ’06 or .30 caliber put into service in 1906. In addition to its military role, the 30-06 has been used in the hunting world for more than 100 years as well. It is well known for its flat shooting trajectory, accuracy and terminal effects on target. The Springfield 06 and the M1 Garand were both ideal examples of how well the 30-06 functions in bolt action and semi auto platforms.
