Details
This 30-30 Win cartridge from Hornady’s LEVERevolution line of ammunition features a 140 grain MonoFlex projectile. The bullet’s patented Flex Tip design makes it safe to use in a tubular magazine, and helps to initiate devastating expansion at practically any velocity. The bullet’s monolithic construction means that it is made entirely of copper alloy, so it won’t separate as it retains 95 percent of its weight during penetration. (That this bullet is free of lead means that Californian hunters can enjoy it as well.) The bullet’s secant ogive profile delivers extremely flat trajectories from lever action guns, which coupled with its fast 2,465 fps muzzle velocity will give you stellar accuracy even from long distances.
This round further offers a state of the art propellant which delivers a maximum muzzle velocity at conventional chamber pressures, as well as a non-corrosive Boxer primed factory fresh reloadable brass casing. This round constitutes Hornady’s very best attempt at giving cutting edge performance to the lever action rifle crowd, and boy does it ever deliver in the field.
