Details

Arguably one of the best-balanced cartridge lines out of the mainstream production facilities for accuracy, expansion and weight retention on impact, the Barnes VOR-TX offers a pretty incredible product line for a “mass produced” round.

Maybe “mass-produced” isn’t the perfect word to describe the .300 AAC Blackout load featuring the TAC-TX bullet from Barnes in 120 grains. It certainly doesn’t resemble other AAC Blackout projectiles. The lighter weight makes it fly faster (non sub-sonic) hit just as hard as the heavier weights and offers the 99%+ weight retention and the double diameter expansion that Barnes has engineered into the projectile. It offers a longer range ballistic coefficient meaning you can hit out further, without drastic reduction in lethality.

This load is essentially a law enforcement round that serves game hunters well. The round is made for quick efficient tactical prowess out at a moderate distance. Double the grain weight of a medium 5.56 load and a .30 caliber projectile that can expand to twice the size at impact, these are truly lethal rounds. For the money, you’d be hard pressed to find a better mix of these features with legitimate per round hand-checked quality control like you get with the Barnes VOR-TX.

Suitable for any platform that shoots the .300 AAC Blackout.
