Details
A Quiet, heavy projectile that moves at subsonic speed out of the barrel but can still actuate the cyclic mechanism of most AR-15’s. This Remington UMC 220 grain .300AAC Blackout ammo claims to be able to shoot reliably every time in suppressed AR firearms with a powder charge that still keeps it subsonic to avoid the crack of breaking the sound barrier.
The bullet is a flat base open tip design that offers some ballistic advantage in close quarter scenarios over a pure ball projectile. 220 grains moving out of the barrel at 1050 fps and with 540 ft. lbs. of energy makes this a legitimate round for tactical purposes. Depending on regulations in your area, this is also suitable for short and medium range for medium and large game up to and including large deer out to about 100 yards, suppressed. Beyond that, this bullet can show a large drop that may not be suitable for bigger game. The .300AAC Blackout sold in another area of the BulkAmmo.com website that is supersonic may be more suitable for such conditions.
This cartridge is essentially built for short and medium range tactical and medium to large game hunting in a suppressed AR-15 r similar firearm. Of course it is suitable for use on targets and for sport shooting.
