A very well made steel-cased, FMJ round that thrives in military style semi auto 308’s, this 145 grain Wolf Military classic is a reasonable facsimile of standard 308 ball ammo. It enjoys the aggressive feeding and extraction cycles of military style clones and can easily be implemented in bolt actions while holding pretty decent accuracy. You can expect in the right settings 1.5MOA to 2.5MOA which is more than acceptable for the low price point.
A steel cartridge can have some drawbacks for some shooters but generally they are very good investments for high volume shooters who have guns that have been broken in well. The casing is for all intents and purposes not reloadable. The Berdan primers need to have a strong firing pin to ensure ignition is 100% reliable, generally. The steel is springy and rigid, and so if you don’t have enough play in the feeding system this can make it difficult for you to reliably feed the rounds. They aren’t perfect in very high end ultra-high tolerance guns. For all these things, they are perhaps the best value on the market for anyone who doesn’t consider these things problems. Many will never reload. Most have firing pin hits that are more than acceptable. Most firearms allow for a little bit of play in the feeding cycle that allows these rounds to feed beautifully. Forget all the rumors you've heard: start shooting steel cartridges today.
