Details
This is a fantastic German surplus ammo that utilizes a Cupronickel or Copper-Nickel alloy that is the exact same formulation as found in United States minted currency silver coins (like the nickel/dime/quarter) It is a magnetic projectile and as such you must consider this for use in certain range settings. Likely, if your range has a steel backstop you wouldn’t be able to shoot .308 ammunition in it anyways if you are not allowed to shoot magnetic projectiles, but as innovations increase on the range technology available, be aware that this may pose a risk of sparking, penetration and other hazards in certain environments from a range backstop perspective.
Aside from not being a reliably reloadable case without extensive primer pocket work, this is an amazing quality ammunition and it is over-engineered just like most things that are precision and German. The accuracy, reliability and tolerance control of this ammunition is without equal on the surplus foreign market for .308 Winchester ammo. The 147 grain projectile offers a good all-around use case for the load, and it is good for any shooting activities you do with the .308. Note: some jurisdictions may prohibit this for use as a hunting projectile/round, please inquire with your local and state regulations.
