A great 32 ACP round for self-defense in small framed semi-auto firearms, this is a 71 grain copper jacketed hollow point made by MagTech, who has been making top quality civilian market self-defense and range/practice ammunition since 1990. That’s not the whole story though, the CBC company which owns MagTech also owns Sellier & Bellot and the MEN, companies in the Czech Republic and in Germany that have been around for many years. In the case of S&B, they were founded in 1825; CBC in 1926 (they bought S&B later) and MEN in 1957. The almost 2 centuries of experience and understanding of ammunition production that comes with the companies under the umbrella contributes to the credibility and reliability of the ammunition and the brand name.
This 71 grain projectile is a nicely performing jacketed hollow point that is loaded into a brass casing with a Boxer primer making the load reloadable by the shooter. The .32 ACP is a welcome addition to the world of sub compact framed semi-autos with the moderate velocity profile and the larger diameter projectile. The stopping power of the round seems to be sufficient for widespread use as a backup concealed carry weapon, and a fairly popular primary concealed carry weapon.
