Details
For quality ammo, try Fiocchi 125 grain .357 mag rounds in your favorite revolver. For plinking and target practice, this round offers a boxer primer filled with Fiocchi’s clean-burning powder in a new-production, reloadable, non-corrosive, full brass casing. For training, it duplicates the heavier recoil of a self-defense round on a lighter, less expensive load and enough boom to teach a steady aim in preparation for bigger challenges. If that’s not enough of a reason to like this ammo, it’s designed for self-defense with a jacketed hollow point that is built to expand on impact, creating a larger permanent wound cavity, and with a muzzle velocity of 1500 fps, has a manageable recoil.
A family-owned generational company, Fiocchi’s American branch in Springfield, Missouri combines the best of the family’s Italian quality and design with American ingenuity and responsiveness. While its Extrema line .357 can take down a deer, it’s Shooting Dynamics line will give you the same kick for practice while not taking down your wallet.

Q: Is this comparable to the Federal 130 grain JHP Low Recoil ammo that you sell? Would the 125 grain provide less recoil and therefore be a bulk substitute to the Federal ammo?
Thanks, Carol

A: No, this ammo is loaded to a higher velocity and will have more recoil. Recoil is a function of projectile mass and velocity, and the Federal 130gr low recoil load is designed to balance terminal effectiveness with recoil control. 125gr .357 Mag ammo offers a fairly stiff recoil, especially in lighter firearms.
