Upon contact with a target, Starfire rounds direct pressure into several sharp ribs embedded in the bullet, causing it to expand into a five-petal mushroom. As the bullet expands, the ribs use the cartridge’s remaining energy to provide total penetration of 9-14 inches and living up to the .357 Mag’s reputation as a “man stopper.”

.357 Magnum Starfires achieve a muzzle velocity of 1,200 feet per second, enough to stop any attacker but not so much that the bullet expands prematurely before penetrating. Each box contains 20 cartridges in new, unfired brass cases.
