Details
Hornady custom .357 SIG Ammunition comes equipped with a 147-grain XTP projectile and boxer-primed, noncorrosive, reloadable brass case. These rounds are great for personal defense or even varmint hunting and are capable of a muzzle velocity of more than 1225 FPS.
The XTP projectile (Extreme Terminal Performance) is designed for world-class stopping power and accuracy. Serrations in the jacket of the bullet create stress points which initiate controlled expansion. Varying jacket thicknesses initiate expansion and provide an advantage over plated bullets jackets which are uniform in nature. There is also no exposed lead, as the gilding metal jacket covers the nose of the bullet, ensuring more reliable feeding in semi-automatic weapons and proper function upon impact. This creates a more consistent hollow point. This case contains ten 20-round boxes of Hornady .357 SIG.
Since 1949, Hornady has been a reliable manufacturer of ammunition reloading supplies and, beginning in 1985, has been a producer of high performing ammunition for a wide variety of uses.
