Prvi Partizan is known for producing ammunition in hard to find
cartridges such as this .38 S&W load for the Colt Police Positive, Webley
Mk IV, and other revolvers. The 145-grain lead round nose bullet achieves a
velocity of 787 feet per second at the muzzle, producing gentle recoil for
enjoyable target shooting. Each box holds 50 rounds in Boxer-primed brass
cases. Note that this is .38 S&W ammo and not interchangeable with .38

Q: would this ammunition also be the same for a 38 short?

A: Thanks for reaching out Jose! 38 S&W and 38 S&W Short are two names for the same exact cartridge. There is a different and much less common cartridge known as the 38 Short Colt, which is why I cannot safely assume with 100% confidence whether 38 S&W Short is the ammunition you are looking for, although you are far more likely to own a 38 S&W Short revolver than one that is chambered for 38 Short Colt.
Q: I have a S&W Police Revolver with a 4 or 5-inch barrel. is this the correct ammo for this Revolver?

A: Thanks for reaching out Martin! To be certain, is your revolver an S&W Model 10 (aka S&W Military & Police)? If so, that revolver has been made for 38 Long Colt, 38 Special, and 38 S&W – three very different cartridges. I regret I can't recommend the correct ammo for your revolver with just the info you've provided. Does it say anything on its frame or barrel?
