Details
Hornady’s American Gunner line of ammunition comprises a collection of versatile loads suitable for target shooting, personal protection, and varmint control. This 38 Special cartridge sports a 125 grain eXtreme Terminal Performance (XTP) jacketed hollow point projectile. The jacket features precise serrations that divide it into symmetrical sections, which strategically weaken it to initiate controlled expansion even at low velocities. The gilding metal jacket protects the nose of the bullet, letting the hollow cavity function properly on impact as well as ensuring proper feeding in semi-automatic weapons. This bullet’s swaged core is uniformly dense to provide balanced expansion and in-flight stability.
Along with its high quality reloadable brass casing, reliable primer, and clean burning propellant, this is a round that promises to perform wonderfully no matter how you decide to implement it. Your 38 Special will seldom be better loaded thanks to Hornady’s long-standing commitment to excellence.

Q: Is this a 38 SPL standard load for a pistol that cannot use +P ?
Posted On: 2/12/2023 By: Robert Hubbard
A: Yes sir, this is standard pressure 38 Special, not +P. We always indicate when ammo is overpressure, and its packaging should say "+P" as well.
