Details
Remington’s HTP bullet brings
the .38 Special into the 21st century with its jacketed hollow point
design. Ideal for concealed carry or home defense, these rounds use a lighter
125-grain bullet and +P loading to achieve a muzzle velocity of 945 feet per
second. Each box holds 50 rounds in
boxer-primed reloadable brass casings.
This +P ammo should only be used in revolvers capable of handling high-pressure rounds. Due to SAAMI’s modification of .38 Special’s specifications in 1972, today’s +P ammo closely approximates the pressures of “standard” .38 Special used in the early 20th century.
Remington offers its HTP and Golden Saber defense rounds in a wide range of calibers for police and self-defense use. The company was founded in upstate New York in 1816, and still operates a factory in Ilion, NY today. Other Remington production facilities are located in Arkansas and Kentucky, and the company’s corporate headquarters are located in North Carolina. Remington’s product line also includes a diverse selection of well-regarded long guns and a 1911 pistol.
