Details
This 38 Special +P cartridge from CCI’s Blazer line of ammunition features a heat-treated aircraft-grade aluminum cartridge. Because bauxite is a lot less expensive to get out of the ground than the copper needed to make brass is, this round has an attractively low price tag. Aluminum is very light as well, so you’ll have an easier time lugging a few boxes of these rounds to the range than you would brass cased ammo. The only real downside to this cartridge is that you won’t be able to reload it.
This cartridge sports a 158 grain projectile. The bullet’s flat nose will punch clean holes in paper targets, so you’ll have an easier time spotting and scoring your shots.
Please note that this is +P ammunition and should only be chambered in firearms that are rated for it. Always check with your firearm's manufacturer before using +P ammo. Cascade Cartridge Inc. (CCI) was founded by Dick Speer in the early 50s, and its Lewiston, ID plant is one of the most efficient ammunition plants in the world.
