Details
The 38 Super +P is identical to the 38 ACP in appearance, but has a higher pressure load than its predecessor. Perhaps in response to some unfortunate accidents, the +P was added to its name in 1974 as an additional reminder that this cartridge ought never be used in a firearm meant only for the older, less powerful round. If you are looking for something for your 38 ACP, take heart -- we’ve got some fine selections in stock! If you’re looking for a great cartridge for your bonafide 38 Super +P, then you are now on the right page.
This cartridge features a 130 grain projectile, which is more or less in the middle of the range of bullet weights available in this caliber. That projectile sports a full metal jacket, making it great for maintaining accuracy for longer in between cleanings, but far less so for self-defense. Its brass casing and easily replaced Boxer primer make it ideal for the handloader, so you can be certain to get your money’s worth from a box of these quality rounds by Serbia-based Prvi Partizan.
