Remington’s premium Golden Saber ammo has found favor with shooters for self-defense across America. Designed around a spiral-cut brass-jacketed hollow point bullet, Remington Golden Sabers mushroom reliably in targets while maintaining reasonable penetration and match-grade accuracy. This innovative round’s strong performance at lower velocities turns the little .380 ACP into the cartridge that can. Suitable for use in any concealed carry or home defense firearm such as the Ruger LCP, Kel-Tec P380, or Sig P238.
Golden Sabers come in boxer-primed reloadable brass cases which are nickel plated for reliable feeding and extraction. Each box contains 25 rounds instead of the usual 20, making it just a bit easier to get in the 50-100 rounds recommended for testing self-defense ammo in your firearm for proper function.

Q: Will this ammo work with the Ruger LCP/Keltex P3AT style of handgun. The bullet is
heavier than normal for this caliber but looks good.

Q: I am considering purchase of a .380 but am concerned about being undergunned. I understand there have been some improvements in .380 ammo. Is this Remington a product I can feel comfortable (safe ) with in a self-defense firearm?

A: If a .380 is the largest caliber firearm you would be comfortable carrying at all times, then it is the best choice for you, and this Remington Golden Saber ammo is a good choice for .380 self defense use. While bigger and bigger firearms will always give you the ability to do more damage, there comes a (subjective) point of diminishing returns - it is up to you to determine where that point is. If you buy a more powerful pistol but then find it to be too big for you to carry all the time, it won't do you a bit of good if you need it and don't have it.
Q: I'm considering buying a .380 but don't want to be undergunned. I understand there have been some great improvements in the .380 ammo. Is this Remington product the best choice for a light caliber for self defense?
