Details
Speer’s Gold Dot line of ammunition brought about the very first handgun cartridges with bonded-core bullets. By bonding the projectile’s metal jacket to its alloyed lead core, they innovated a bullet that virtually eliminates separation during impact and penetration. That means the bullet will enter its target reliably, and optimally expand within for massive damage.
The 40 S&W has earned a lot of favor with law enforcement professionals for its similar performance to the 9mm, but while providing a marked energy advantage. In that vein, firing a 40 S&W may be preferable over a 10mm for its lesser recoil. This 40 S&W round, with its 155 grain hollow point bullet and 1,200 fps muzzle velocity, is great for self defense. Its brass casing is nickel plated to better resist against corrosion and feed more slickly in semi-automatic weapons, as well as load more easily in revolvers. With its Boxer primer it is fully reloadable as well.
